Weeknotes: 1

A meeting-heavy week , but a few things moved forward.

This week

  • Put together the agenda for next week's Design System working group: trying to make the agenda worthwhile keeping it tight and outcome-focused rather than letting it turn into a general show-and-tell.
  • Chased DAC (Digital Accessibility Centre) panel access to the service, so their assessors can get into the real thing rather than reviewing static screens.
  • Ongoing service capability support work alongside the core design workstream.
  • Started pulling stakeholder input into the UAT environment, to get the right eyes on the right build ahead of testing.
  • Otherwise: a lot of meetings and catch-ups — more calendar than Figma this week.
  • Ive somehow managed to play 6 hours of padel - a hobby ive become suddenly obsessed with
  • Finding out my current assignment wont be extended afterall, and putting myself out there (again) for a new role

Next week

  • Run the Design System working group session and the agenda
  • Follow up on DAC panel access if it hasn't landed by Monday.
  • Keep pushing on stakeholder input into UAT.
  • Help draft our first accesibility statement for the platform

Reflections

Not much shipped this week, but the groundwork (working group agenda, accessibility work, UAT stakeholder input) should pay off over the next couple of weeks.

Next up: more writing than DIY, hopefully.
