Starting to write in public

I've spent the last 15 years working inside public sector delivery teams — mapping services, running workshops, and helping teams build things that actually work for the people who rely on them. Most of that thinking has stayed in Miro boards, Slack threads, and slide decks that never leave the organisations they were made for.

This is where I'll start writing some of it down properly.

I'm interested in AI as something designers work with, not around.

Expect posts on interaction and service design practice, what it actually takes to build design capability inside large organisations, and — increasingly — how generative and agentic AI tools are changing the shape of that work. I'll be sharing what I learn as I bring that into real projects.

If you want to see the practice rather than just read about it, take a look at the case studies.
